Abstract

This article examines Abraham Kuyper’s sphere sovereignty as a philosophical framework for integrating faith and knowledge in Christian Religious Education. The study aims to explain the relevance of this principle for Christian Religious Education in the context of contemporary learning. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method through literature study and thematic analysis of relevant sources. The findings show that sphere sovereignty recognizes the distinctive responsibility of each sphere under God’s sovereignty without separating faith from knowledge. In Christian Religious Education, this principle supports theological orientation, respect for disciplinary particularity, dialogical integration, and formative praxis. The study concludes that faith and knowledge can be integrated by helping students interpret knowledge and life from a Christian perspective while respecting the methods and limits of each discipline.
